Nope, you are stuck until someone figures out how to unlock that bootloader

Yeah, I'm a little frustrated that I accepted the ota, not thinking it would relock the bootloader. Not a massive deal breaker, but I'm a tinkerer, and I can't tinker anymore. Bummer.

Hopefully someone figures it out, or Motorola fixes it.

Is there any way to turn off the OTA's? When my photon was updating it lost power and bricked. Now I have a new one with 2.3.4 and would like to keep it that way.

    Thanks in advance,

    Fuji

No idea honestly, but I got a new one with 2.3.4 and haven't been bothered with the ota... And I've had it more than a week

You can edit your build.prop to show you're on the update already (you have to be rooted), or you can flash the 198_7 sbf via rsd lite (no root, but you may lose your data - I can't remember). You should no longer get update prompts that way.

How about a hard reset? Would that revert to 2.3.4 or does the OTA overwrite that versions backup aswell?

Hard reset only brings it to current version, ie, whatever version you were on.
