I think a third candidate, which sounds good in theory only, one of the two major parties would win out in the end.

Ah but you're being redundant, there is no way the democrats or republicans would ever allow a third party candidate to successfully run. Why? The state controls election laws, and who controls the state? Well that depends on the party in power, and its almost absolutely either democrats or republicans. Another thing is that we don't have a popular vote, we have an electoral college. Normal citizens from the state vote for who they think should be candidate, then the states college voters are SUPPOSED to vote for who we vote for, but they don't have to they can vote for any candidate they want. - Nice system huh?

So there's your answer, there is no way a third party candidate can be elected to the presidency.

Ps. - Perot got the closest to being in office and got the most votes out of any third party candidate in us history.

During the 2008 campaign I didn't vote. I'm 32 and never thought there would come a day that would require me to. I'm also a veteran that fought during the invasion into Iraq and I suffer from PTSD. It took 8 years of fighting. the Army/VA to tell me that I had it. That was only after Obama took office. There are thousands of veterans who suffer and we shouldn't be treated like black Sheep. I just now registered to vote. Mitt Romney can't or won't describe any kind of plan to help the wounded besides cutting budgets. My voice needs to be heard

Both parties are corrupt, plain and simple...

If you want free stuff, to be paid more for less work, higher taxes, weaker economy, farther reaching government, fewer freedoms, weaker defenses, to pay for others stupidity. Vote liberal

If you want to be rewarded for hard work and good ideas, have more opportunities to work hard for good pay, the opportunity to decide how YOUR money is spent, to only have the government intervene when it is needed. Vote conservative.

It's as simple as that ppl. You decide.

Just remember, taxes are YOURS. The government has no money of its own. It is all ours. When you want "free" health care, birth control, meals, ect. Just remember that you are bribing yourself with your own money and that government is nothing but a drain on an economy. A necessary expense, but an expense none the less.

Lesser of two evils has my vote. Voting for Romney is literally like throwing a flag in the toilet, and flushing...*sighs*..

Basically my point is...Never trust a politician, although Obama is better in most regards compared to most...He has my vote.
So you enjoy being lied to? That's stupid. Romney has experience, Obama did not. People were gullible in 08, but in 12 you have to be STUPID to fall for it again.

A proven successful president? So rising unemployment and a 16 trillion deficit is success? Wow.... It's gotta be easy to be a liberal. Nothing is ever your fault, unless something good happens. Then you flaunt that to the death. If the job was too hard for Obama to recover from Bush, then he obviously can't handle the responsibility. If Bush destroyed the economy, than he also gets credit for the bin Laden kill. Obama can't have it both ways when talking to people with brains (conservatives).

Unemployment dropped because so many people gave up the job search. Don't twist the numbers and disregard the facts. Unemployment dropping doesn't necessarily mean more people found jobs. Deficit doubles, dependence on foreign oil increases, and military gets weaker. Obama's dream is inherited from his socialist, polygamous father.

You ALL need to read this. It's Mitt Romney and the Mormon plan for America. This is seriously scary. Mormons believe the teachings of Joseph Smith, not Jesus. THAT is anti Christ. But it doesn't matter now.

You are not familiar with the religion. It's always the loud mouths who speak without the knowledge to back it up. You ask me any question about that religion, and I will answer if it's a legit question. Why do you think the Mormons official name is "The church of JESUS CHRIST of latter-day saints"? Does that sound like the name of a religion who worships Smith and not Christ? Think for once!

This perfectly illustrates the problem facing America. All you need to do is use your brain and not just believe everything you read! I don't care if you vote Obama or Romney, but don't forward bull crap lies about an "anti-christ". Have you taken the time to research Obama's pastor? He has openly cursed "white America". Michelle Obama said 08 election was the first time she was proud to be American.

Because they first LOST so many. I could gain 100 pounds and then lose 30 and brag about it. Obama had a super majority congress while he was wasting money, and killing jobs. He has destroyed small businesses, and it only gets worse when his health care goes into full effect.

Look, Obama went into the job inexperienced. But things aren't slowly improving, in fact, they're intensely getting worse.
A doubled deficit, higher unemployment, salary cuts, etc.
    The economy's a mess.
I say, let's allow the experienced governor and business man, with a profound theory of economics, to repair the mess Obama has gotten us into.

Also, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I'm not supporting Romney solely because of this,
But I would like to say that I am here to discuss any rumors or misconceptions about our faith that might come up, at all.
