This is the same problem I was having before; i.e. I would make an argument based on what someone said, then that person (in this instance you, llamabreath) would claim you either didn't say that or rely on the ambiguity of your post to disagree with the argument being made.

So what did you mean then, when you implied Obama "dissects and butchers" the Constitution?

I don't have ten hours to explain "how". Here's a link to many other links that can explain it much better than I could.

It should be some good reading -

Executive Orders is the answer I expected. Are they in the Constitution?
Who gave the Executive Branch the power of the Executive Order? I bet it was the branch that actually passes laws....

Also, those results are about as unbiased as you can get, right?

Do you know of a media source that still gives unbiased info? I think that species is extinct, wouldn't you agree?

The important part of my reply was the first part.

Perhaps I should have put a :-P after the second part.

The constitution was set up to prevent overreach. It clearly defines what the federal role as and most of the time they sidestep the constitution.
A lot of people think that the federal government can do whatever it wants. In reality, its power is strictly limited. Whenever the federal government goes too far, the American people can reign it back in.

It probably has to do with them being a foreign news agency so they have no loyalty to political parties here.

They could. If they think one would play to the interests of Russia.

I've done zero reading of their articles, and am just pointing out the possibility.

Meh that just means that they are less likely to be bias towards individuals. It has nothing to do with their ideals that they could still be bias about. Picking and choosing stories from another country that support your view is a great tactic. The people in your country will probably only see what you show them and thus their view is jaded.

At least they bother covering international news rather than the usual news here in the states. Mass shooting happened, loose bear roams neighborhood, major storm coming, mass shooting again

The courts can review executive orders just like anything else. If Obama circumvented the Constitution, you can go all the way to the Supreme Court to overturn it.

That doesn't really answer my question. When did the executive order become "a thing"?

From what I've read, it would be Article II, Section 1, Clause 1 and Article II, Section 3, Clause 5 of the Constitution. That's how people came up with executive orders.
