[16/Nov][ROOTING/UNROOTING] DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit [v3.0](zergRush Exploit) - xda-developers
This is for GingerBread Only.......I have a new link for ICS
I used Doomlord_v3_root
I had it working within 5 minutes.
Version 2.3.5 only...........

I just moved from fascinate and noticed not much info yet on rooting Droid Razr.
Found it over on XDA forums

Also here are the drivers for the phone to work on PC only

Read before you do........just wanted to pass on the information

no problem glad i could help........by the way after you root get titanium backup Pro($6 i believe) and freeze
the bloat you don't need or want versus deleting any files. Its much easier.
That way when we get ICS it will be easier to download and install because
nothing been removed......FYI
It works great too.

if you do an update just re root using the same procedure........all should be ok

Just push this one file for root? No cwr or does this bring cwr?

Want to run root stock for now. When ita comes, ignore?

Lastly how hard is this thing to brick? My fascinate was non brickable.

here is the link for the new root method for android 2.3.6 system version 6.12.173
its an .exe file.......just click it and run it after plugging into your PC
tested on a few US Verizon phones......work like a charm

Can't get much easier than that....enjoy

Yes, I just rooted the Maxx I picked up. It took a couple of minutes, no problems.

The Razr and Maxx are basically the same, the only difference is the battery.

I'm new at this. I couldn't root my razr. I've installed motorola software, switched to pc mode and noticed adb drivers being installed on my xp-sp3. When I run runme bat I get:

make sure usb debugging and unknown sources are checked in Settings.
then try a different selection than PC Mode....try USB Storage Mode and see if that helps

This is from other forums..This is fool proof method after OTA to ICS on CDMA version. Read carefully and follow instructions. Easy as just using TV remote control.

If you still on the gingerbread then check his earlier version like 1.6
