I rooted using the method here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321582

I was a Samsung Fascinate owner so this is not my first time rooting. Last night I purchased a video from the market and could not watch it bc I was rooted. Instead of downloading the apk which is supposed to work around this, I decided I would rather unroot. My purpose for rooting was to use free wifi tether which I hadn't gotten to work anyway.

So I used the unroot method found above and it does restart my phone but the Superuser app is still in my app drawer. I tried unrooting twice more: didn't work. So I tried to root again using the above process but unlike my first time where I received a conformation message, I received nothing and the cmd prompt actually closed.

Now, I have the superuser app in the drawer. I tried to use screenshot & a wifi tether app. They both told me I needed to be rooted to use them. I downloaded Linda file manager and looked in the system/apps and did not see superuser.apk there.

I found this and tried it as well: http://droidrazrroot.com/droid-razr-unroot/how-to-unroot-droid-razr/. It did not help. At this point, I have no idea what to do.

Thanks in advance for your help!
