Default Check my procedure for updating to ICS?

So I've only been s-off+rooted on GB for about two days, and even though is an amazing GB rom, I am already itching to try the latest ICS leak. I've been hesitant because of reports of overheating/battery issues on the leaks, but after a lot of reading, and particularly , I think I am convinced that chingy has addressed those concerns in as long as the firmware matches up (running older firmware with the "patches" for ICS roms seems to cause problems, from what I read).

So, I'm going to take the plunge, but wanted to ask advice on whether I am missing any steps. Especially because I'd like to do everything from the phone. I am S-off, hboot 2.11. So, to move to ICS, I:

    1. Nandroid my current setup
    (1A. Reset/wipe caches, system, etc?)
    2. Flash the latest 3.14.605.5 through bootloader to get latest hboot/firmware/radios.
    3. Flash Amon Ra 3.15 through bootloader (zip from ).
    4. Wipe all.
    5. Flash .

And then, if I do have any issues, to return to my GB setup, I:
    1. Flash the 2.01.605.11 RUU zip in bootloader.
    2. Flash Amon Ra in bootloader.
    3. Wipe all.
    4. Restore my GB Ineffabilis nandroid.

    So, am I missing anything?
    TIA.

The only thing I might add is to backup both your internal and external sd card. This might not be necessary (or maybe you backed them up when you s-offed), but just to be safe.

Other than that, you look good to me. Go for it.

I've had heat issues on one Rom so far, I think it was Pokemon 3.2. But I'm on Newts now and no heat problems here. So if you have any heat issues, dont freak out...just try to reinstall the ROM, or try a different one. Oh, and they all seem to feel hotter during the first day or two...I think because the phone is still restoring a lot of info in the background maybe.

For better battery life, sign out of G-talk (it will default to signed in), and disable things like friendstream and verizon backup assistant plus (who needs verizon backup anyways...if you diable other verizon services your data widget wont work though)

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate the advice. But, I actually went ahead and did that procedure back on May 20th.

I was running Ineffabilis Deus for awhile, definitely the most complete, bug-free, stable rom I tried, and battery life was great too. But for the last week, like you, I've been running Newt's , and been loving Sense4. Newt actually said he was trying to get the next update out this weekend that should address the few bugs that are there and ad some cool new options, so I've been kind of obsessively refreshing the page over on themikmik.
