Problems with chomp SMS after ics

Im new to the forum so forgive me if this issue has been addressed, I searched but couldn't find anything.

I love love love my rezound, especially after the ics update. But I have a problem with chomp SMS. I can only receive messages after I open up the app. I have tried everything I could think of, including uninstalling the app but I can't fix it. Any suggestions?

I don't know but could there be an auto sync option either in the app or under accounts and sync that is turned off? Is background sync turned on?
