GS3 minor Update yesterday

Hey all,

Thought I'd let everyone know that I received a minor update yesterday. This update gave me the brightness slider in the notification bar and a few other little features. NOW my reason for this post is unlike my brother who has the same device I wasn't notified of the update on my device and when I checked for updates nothing showed up. I was able to update through Kies only.
My Android version stayed at 4.0.4 but the Kernel number changed.

I'm sure this post may help at least one person out without the update.

What did it update other then brightness adjustment in drop down??

I'm on Telus, I received this update today. I've also noticed it seems I have to drag my finger greater distances to unlock the phone, before I could just slightly flick it. But I haven't really noticed anything else.

I also noticed this which is something I like.
