I don't think it's worth using an upgrade. Pay the 400$ (because it's cheaper) and save your upgrade for the next 700$ phone you buy.

In not saying it's not worth it (nexus 5). I'm just saying if you like to upgrade a lot you should save it so it's more beneficial

Sure it's nice to have more options but no one "needs" more than that.
That being said it is 2013 and it's very obvious that the motive behind keeping internal storage small is to push storage to the cloud.
For me I love Google drive. All of my photos are there and the important ones are available for offline viewing.
As far as music, I use Google play music and pin my music to my device.
I feel that Google will offer a 32gb option this time around but on the same account I would not be at all surprised if 16 was the max and yes I would still buy one.

Happy now that is settled and you have concluded what people need for storage capacity in our phones.

Bad enough google and verizon are deciding for us as well.

I will buy the first phone offered with 128gb of internal storage...even if I have to go to the dark side.

There are apps in the Playstore for this SanDisk wireless Wi-Fi thumb drive.

I could get by with 8GB. I don't install a lot of applications.

16 GB is plenty for me. I don't have a large music collection, and I offload photos to my computer or external hard drive.

Wondering if I should get the Nexus 5 or keep using the Note 3. Kinda like having awesome battery life and a large 1080p display, my biggest complaint about my Nexus 4 was the horrible battery life.

I could get by with 16GB but its difficult since I love to store a lot of music and apps.

I wouldn't buy a 16Gig version, I agree with you on that, it should be like Samsung atleast with expandability upto a total of 128gig!
