So the last rumors I heard about the next Android OS update was that Jellybean is the code name, and was said to release in late Spring or early Summer. Do we know if that is still possibly on track ?

Will Jellybean be just an update to ICS and be OS 4.5, or will it be a major upgrade and be 5.0 ?

And if true and Jellybean release around June or so, which is a very popular smartphone month, that is typically when Apple releases the iPhone, and the EVO and Galaxy series launch around that time. Would there be a new "Nexus" phone to accompany the release of Jellybean ? And this time would be a Nexus not made by Samsung, but possibly back to HTC again, or Motorola

There aren't really any details available yet. My only guess is that there will most likely be a Nexus phone to accompany Android 5.0 (Jelly Bean), but it's still too early to tell.

I would think it would be a "update". Like froyo to gingerbread. No major changes. With how ground breaking ICS was, they won't renvent anything as huge as Ics. Plus most top phones out today won't get ICS until april

Yeah, honestly, I can't really think of anything significant that ICS has left out, and what has been left out can easily be replaced by a 3rd party app.

Is there a 3rd party app for reliable voice calling? If so point me to it and I'll pick up a Nexus on the way home. Oh, and it would be nice if the ringtone fix, the volume fix, the speakerphone fix, the battery life fix and the HD camera app were included so I don't have to have all those extra apps to fix what should have been there in the first place.

Google needs to get it right. Some of the above can be blamed on Samsung and lousy hardware, but the Nexus is Google's showcase for ICS, they should have made sure Samsung got their end right before the phone shipped.

ICS has nothing to do with battery, and actually battery is pretty good for an lte device.. Plus what is wrong with the stock voice calling? Not to mention those apps are not done by google so why would they be included?
