Exclamation HTC Journal - Verizon Wireless

There is already a thread for this here:

    Verizon Galaxy Journal

BUT I wanted to confirm that I recently talked with our Verizon rep from my store about this new device. She didn't have much information on the phablet, other than it's code name: HTC Journal.

It is supposed to launch this fall.

I will keep everyone posted when I find out more.

So the Galaxy Journal is now the HTC Journal? that was nice of Samsung to give HTC it's phone!

Haha, not exactly, but there has been some talk over at droid-life:

    This may be the Journal?

    Thoughts?

With HTC, probably not. I still don't have ICS on my Rezound. Technically. Thanks to root and whatnot I do, but we shouldn't have to root to get the latest software.

But I would assume that by the time this releases, it will be upgradeable to JB.

This device has been talked about for a while. Now it seems we have some evidence of it. The speed tests are impressive. And is the rumored screen. And a bigger phablet size is all the better.

I can't bring myself to follow this after just getting my GS3. It will hurt too much.

Darn you Verizon and ending your Unlimited Data!

If the HTC Note competitor is real then I will be using my mysterious upgrade on it. I say it is mysterious because after I upgraded to my GNex I still had it. Keep the GNex around for hacking and tooling around with the latest Android and use the HTC Whatever because holy god a phone with a 1080p screen what the hell.

Edit: If it's just a lame version of the Note or Note 2 (I doubt the Note 2 will impress) then I'll pass. After my hardware issues with the GNex I am pretty much over Samsung.

I hope that does end up being for verizon. It looks like an amazing phone and no more of the bricks that htc has been producing for verizon.

This^. Verizon's android Line up is stale at the moment. I don't want the S3 because it has a locked bootloader on Verizon and I hate touchwiz, it's fugly.
