Speculation: LG Optimus G(oogle)?

So everyone has seen the buzz around LG's new Optimus G, and the phone looks like a beast. But with so many people criticizing the LG software, what if they could mitigate that by somehow morphing it into the next Nexus? G=Google=Nexus? I don't think anyone can argue that the specs aren't top-tier, so you remove the Achilles Heel in the LG software, and you have a massive hit on your hands. Thoughts?

I think it has merit, but why would Google allow these phones to be anounced over a period of time by the OEM, when I would think pack more of a punch if they were all anounced at the same time at a Google headlined event. Unless this phone was in the running and not picked, therefore open to be skinned in typical LG fashion. We don't see a screenshot so it is all open to speculation at this point...

A LG Nexus would be a nice option only sold with other nexus devices. (mutliple nexus rumor) LG is not a strong enough name yet to hold the nexus brand by itself right now. If they continue build off from the LG Optimus G and gain success with masses within time I see a LG Nexus in the future. The LG Optimus G has create spec but it seems LG has just finally gotten all there pieces together in this device but still need a big consumer following like Moto,HTC, Sony, and Sam have.

Wow I read an article that said the new Sony 13mp camera won't be released till january. Looks like phones will be starting to release with the new camera as soon as next month.. Awesome, this phone looks beastly. But the front does sort of remind me of this other phone.. A phone with many patents.. And lawyers.

Not true my optimus s held strong through two years of abusive flashing, I don't think there's anything wrong with lgs software, but it is a bit bland.

My lg optimus elite and old lg optimus v have decent software, for gingerbread and froyo they didn't skin as much as touchwizz, sense or blur. They may pull some shenanigans with the bootloader and such but if its nexus we wont see that.

I am very excited & can hardly wait for the complete unveiling of the LG Optimus G. Have watched numerous vids on it & am stoked. The one thing that has not been mentioned yet anywhere is the carrier. Which carrier will get it? One or all or several? That is the question. I don't want to switch from my carrier as I'm quite happy with their service & pricing.

All I know is that my LG runs every app I've downloaded very nicely, including 3rd party launchers. That isn't something every android owner can say...
