Re: Why are the Nexus 4, 7 & 10 horrible names.
They have tried that and get ridiculed for it. HTC Thunderbolt, Incredible, Hero, Inspire, EVO. Samsung Fascinate, Epic, Charge. Motorola Photon, Atrix, RAZR. Consensus is it stops sounding "creative" pretty quick. Rather than a mess of uniquely named phones, manufacturers are now trying to unify their smartphone offerings under a single brand. I think it makes sense. Motorola has the biggest hill to climb there because their most successful phones have all been under a Verizon branding, and they haven't been able to establish a uniform brand of their own across other US carriers or internationally.

Re: Why are the Nexus 4, 7 & 10 horrible names.
Yeah it does get ridiculous after a while, and confusing. Really how does a regular non techie consumer know the difference between a desire hd and a sensation? Neither sounds "better" than the other so you really wouldn't know that the sensation is better than the desire hd. But everyone knows an iphone 5 is better than a 4s,and a 4s is better than a 4.
That being said htc has done little to really remedy that, like anyone would know a one x is better than a sensation. I say just go back to model numbers, like my first phone, the Nokia 5165, or maybe first smartphone, the Motorola MPx220. Phones aren't cars and thus don't need names!

Re: Why are the Nexus 4, 7 & 10 horrible names.
Nexus 4 is perfect name = fourth generation Nexus phone, fits it just right. And hopefully the next Nexus is named the Nexus-Five = for having Android 5.0 KLP + will be the fifth generation Nexus phone.

How about the Nexus 4lte. Since they failed to release a phone with LTE last time. Novel Idea...
