Does anyone know how much the phone will be with a new 2 yr through sprint? I am eligible in 2 weeks and don't know whether to get the evo or wait til june and get the evo 3d...suggestions? I currently have a palm pre, and while it still functions as a phone, its laggy as hell. I can certainly pain my way through a wait but at what cost? If the phone in june is gonna be 250-300 with an 2 year upgrade i may say screw it and get the evo instead. what do you guys think/suggest? thanks.

personally, I would wait. I wouldn't buy last years phone, as great as the EVO is, with this beast coming in a couple months.

Ok, great. Thanks guys. I guess I'll just wait until pricing is announced to make an ultimate decision. If it is within my price range I'll wait. But if it is outrageously priced I may have to get the Evo as a cheaper option.

I was on the pre bandwagon when it was pre vs hero, until I got an Evo as my work phone, I still have a palm pre as my personal phone, but only reason I haven't upgraded it was because I knew around June sprint would have a new version of the EVO. So, now I can't wait to upgrade.
webos was fun when it started. It was a great concept, but it's not being used to it's full potential and it doesn't have nearly as many apps as the android market. At first i missed the swipe gestures and cards, but now, these phones are so fast there is no need to have you screen full of cards. just seems lame.Palm Pre > HTC Evo 4g > HTC Evo 3d> Galaxy S2> Sprint Galaxy S3> Tmobile Galaxy S3 & Asus Transformer Pad Infiniti - 03-22-2011, 01:06 PM #63

In the hands-on video, the demonstrator DID say they would have kickstand cases though. Still don't like how they have positioned the camera lenses to protrude from the phone to rest on them when laid flat. Thought HTC would've learned from the 1st gen...smh.
I DO like how they have added sort of a "widgetlocker" type function to the lockscreen & the added animation when scrolling through the home screens.Twitter: www.twitter.com/YaBoiD - 03-22-2011, 06:12 PM #71
why does the screen look so dark and washed out?
i was expecting to be wowed by the resolution and sharpness but was not.
i'm not sold on the evo 3d. at least we have some options this year
what reallly looks nice is the optimus 2x. too bad we haven't heard anything about that yet. - 03-22-2011, 06:15 PM #72
I don't think it's ugly at all! I love how it looks. I like the red ring around the cameras, and to me it looks like the ring is raised higher than the camera glass to keep it from getting scratched.
How you can call a phone with those specs a dud is beyond me. - 03-22-2011, 06:44 PM #73
I like the internal specs, but I hope the increased the bit-depth of the screen compared to the original EVO.
Honestly, considering I don't have a 3D-capable TV yet, I'm inclined to maybe sit this one out until next year-- especially now that my $140+ monthly family spending at Sprint no longer qualifies me for an upgrade after April 1st...
No kickstand isn't a deal breaker but is definitely something cool I've come to appreciate (youtube + 3 yr old = happy child).
Maybe I'll change my mind once I actually try one of these glasses-free 3D screens in person. If it sufficiently blows my mind, I'll jump aboard.

I wanted to get the pre 3 originally but these specs made me never look back.
