Battery life?

So the battery life on my wife's glide is good, can last the entire day and evening with a good chunk left (~30-40%). However when looking at the battery stats Android OS is at 39%. My Atrix has Android OS at 3% and phone idle at 58%.
The wife does have social hub set up, only with fb though. Very few widgets, business calendar, google voice, clock, battery, app monitor, and power savings.

Is this normal on Samsung phones?

I wonder if that has to do with LCD versus SAMOLED and how the OS views idle. I don't use the built-in app for battery use though, I use System Tuner to monitor CPU usage. Tends to be a LOT more granular on both platforms, but doesn't usually include screen usage.

I tell you though, if the phone is idling that little and the battery life is this good, i wonder how good it would be with the phone ACTUALLY idling. And I wonder what Motorola is doing so horribly wrong.
