Music player cant see my music files

I had to do a reset on the phone.
Since then the music app does not display any tunes.
They are all there when I look in my files.
How do I get them playing again?

You could try doing an uninstall reinstall of the player (if possible). Or download a different one from the play store. If all else fails, at least in the meantime, you can go into your folders with a file manager and the player option will pop up when you tap on a song.

I tried downloading another player and that cant see the files either.
Yes I can play from 'my files' but only one track at a time. So that at least confirms the music is there.

I think there are several you can do playlists easily on. Winamp is probably one. If I can't figure out how to do it easily in Poweramp I think I'll go back to Winamp.

I'm listening to Cat Stevens on the phone as I type.
All sorted:
I'm using the original player.
I formatted the SD card and I'm in the process of reloading it via Bluetooth. It's a bit slow but at least all the music is playing now.
