Problems with Fingerprint Scanner
I am having difficulty with the Fingerprint Scanner on my Alpha. After some initial attempts at cleaning, and rebooting/battery-pulls, I tried to disable the fingerprint requirement and change to PIN or other security options. When i discovered errors in the Fingerprint Scanner settings, it led me to believe it was software-related and not due to hardware problems.
I found a string related to the S5 that seemed to work on my Alpha temporarily: go into the Fingerprint settings in Application Manager/All/Fingerprints (version 1.1.0) and clear the cache. After clearing the cache and rebooting the device, my Fingerprint Scanner worked for half a day. That method only worked once, and now i am back to square one.
Any suggestions or solutions? Is anyone else encountering this problem?
