Is it possible to Root a FRP Grand Prime?

my ex roommate left me a grand prime for back rent he owned. it sat in desk for months charged it turned it on but wont let me get past to sign in unless enter google account associated with device.no way to find that out any other suggestions

There's nothing you can do without access to the Samsung account and/or Google account associated with that device. FRP renders it useless. It can be switched off through Samsung account

Contact your old roommate and have him remove it. Other than that, nothing you can do with the device. It's a security feature that keeps stolen or lost phones from being used by non authorized users.
