Play store won't load

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Light today. Noticed that the play store will be loading but never gets past it. What do I need to do to fix that?

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean when you say it's loading but never gets past it? Does the Play Store screen actually come up, or do you only see a spinning circle? Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data? Do your other Google apps like Gmail and Google Drive work fine?

I would start by making sure you have the latest software. I upgraded mine the day I bought it. Settings, More, scroll down and select About Device. Finally you get to the software update option.
