Does anyone know how to fix "attachment is too large to download over mobile network"? I have an unlimited data plan and should be able to DL large files through my email. I have friends with G2's that DL large files with no problem. I went through all the settings and seen nothing I could use.

Yea, I have gotten that myself a couple of times and just thought I got the message b/c I was over 3G @ the time. Maybe a fail safe for your account and battery?

I believe its a carrier deal. Doesn't matter if your unlimted. Have u tried wifi

I have never seen this. I have downloaded 1.5GB files before. I also have Verizon and am in a 4G network area though, so that may be a part of it...

check to see if you have any data restrictions enabled in the settings. I don't remember seeing anything like that but you may be able to change an option or 2.

FAT32 formatting of the phone storage will prevent you from storing or downloading any individual files greater than 4 GB in size. How big are the files that you're trying to d/l?

It's like there's a built-in setting that tries to make sure you're not using too much data time. If I'm at home or near wifi, large files are no problem. But when I'm out of wifi range and I check my email and have a large file to DL, I get that message. I should have the choice whether I want to use my air time or not.

I am trying to download 7.2GB and its done about 4.3GB now it's giving the error that file is to large. Is there any solution to download the remaining file?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you downloading it directly to a microSD card? MicroSD cards formatted in FAT32 have a filesize limit of 4 GB.

It might be google setting. In settings on your phone go to google change app update to wifi or cellular. This is likely not a carrier issue. You should be able to change on your phone via settings. Or it may be email app try checking those settings. When I got the note 8, it would not let me download apps or other large files, changed the google settings, and I haven't had the issue since.
