So glad I waited for IFA 2013 and didn't pickup the GN 10.1 2012 Edition like I had planned. It's still a great tablet, but now it will be super cheap as it will be discounted heavily to make room for the GN 10.1 2014 Edition that lay's the smack down on their candied azzes.

Oh snap, apple, POP this is a far better tablet than any iPad.

i agree! i've been stalking it for a while, long as it came out before new term starts, although now i'm really tempted to get the new one if it's ?400 or less and keep it relevant for next few years

If this had come out 4-5 months ago, I would likely have picked it up. As it was, I picked up the 2012 Note 10.1, then returned it within 30 days and picked up the Nexus 10 instead. The 2012 10.1 has a mediocre screen. The 2014 strikes me as the Nexus 10 -- same gorgeous screen -- with an S Pen

The N10 screen is definitely a huge step above the Original Note 10.1. But man, i'd take a lesser screen (which is still adequte) and the S pen functionality over the N10. The thing about the Note, is even with a lower grade screen, it makes up for it in so many other ways. The N10 has a great screen, but it still isn't the best on the market and has no other special aspect to put it head and shoulders above any other tablet. Except maybe that it's a Nexus. However, this 2014 edition of the Note 10.1 is the real deal. Everything I wanted the OG Note to be except for no front facing speakers.

Those prices are based on importing EU or versions outside the US, such as unlocked 3G & LTE models. They also have a WiFi model on pre-order for $799 but don't say what storage capacity it's for. I emailed them so I will be curious about it. If its a 64GB version I might go for it since we will never see a 64GB sold in the US by a retailer. They like to stick us with 16GB & 32GB.

The anticipation of waiting for new devices. We'll find out soon enough. I'm anxious to see how well the device does and what the users says about it.

If you are planning on using the 3G service in your country then you definitely want unlocked and make sure it has the correct radios to support your telecom's services. The site that has these listed in this thread is selling imported 16GB 3G and 16GB WiFi units and their prices are just out of whack. The real products and prices will follow soon with the launch being 11 days away.
