    Default sending txts / sms?

    Hi,

I currently have a note 3, and am seriously considering this tablet. I was wondering if there is a good app that can send sms from the tablet? Maybe through Bluetooth even? (when WiFi is not available)

You mean like Blackberry Bridge? I haven't thought about it, but that is a nice idea. Samsung should release their own native app

I was curious on these apps and so I tried them.

Mightytext = beautiful interface, only works via wifi, delayed receive/send because messages go through their servers first

Tablettext = Paid but good. Works on bluetooth and wifi, send/receive is instant, no 3rd party servers.

Check out mysms. Best one I've found so far. Pretty much instantaneous send/receive, maybe a 2 second delay tops.

I have privacy concerns. Though relying on Google, those concerns probably matter not.

I used a rather secure provider for several years until one horrible day their shutters were drawn tight. A look around and noticed Gmail performed well. I read a bit about it, asked a few questions, noted the zero privacy banner and said something like, "Never white what you do not want told to the world." With privacy nothing more than a buzz word and meaningless term, I went with it.

Thank you- can you point me to tablettext? Having issues finding it in the store.

I wonder if it was supposed to be TabletTALK. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...pdroid.tabtalk

Tablet TALK works great...either through WiFi or bluetooth. I think it's a must have app. Instant messaging, and notifications. In the last few days it has never failed once.

Bought Tablet Talk and it works very well... except it will not do MMS. Plus the developer will not answer my emails.

Does the person receiving the text also have the same app or can they receive it no matter what text app they are using?

No requirement for the receiver to have Tablet Talk. It is installed on my Note 3, 8, & 10.1-14.
