Missing storage from internal memory (wrong amount reported even though over 10GB free)

Hi folks,

I've tried looking on the Note 2014 board but can see no trace of this problem anywhere. Basically, the internal storage on my Note is disappearing. I have attached a screenshot that shows the storage on my device:



As you can see on the left circle, I have used 9.8GB of the total 11.79 total storage (available after the system installation) but the right circle shows the distribution of the file types but the numbers don't equate to 9.8GB. All apps show the same thing. Any idea on the cause? I should have far more space than this.

Download DiskUsage and scan. Probably log files, clear cache and it might help.

I had issues with the SD card (64gb sandisc ultra) randomly showing empty. I rooted then downloaded Folder Mount. F.M. found a bad module, fixed it, and I've had no problems since.

I had similar until I realized 5GB was down to off line saved Deezer tracks
Make sure Deezer & or Spotyfi are saving off line tracks to your external card
My 5 GB of use was not immediately obvious.
