I've just followed the guide below to root my brand new SG Note tablet. I rooted the device, using the "autoroot", and I have confirmed root access. Everything seems to be working fine. The guide's next step is to re-flash the stock recovery using a provided file for my exact device. When I reconnected my device to my PC in ODIN mode, the ODIN client on my PC wouldn't recognize my device. Like I said, everything is working fine - I'm just not sure if I'll be able to receive updates without that re-flash. I'm looking for a way I can confirm whether or not that is true. Either way, I'm still curious to why ODIN won't recognize my device.

EDIT - Figured it out. It was an issue with my PC, not ODIN or my device. I was using my Mac to run Parallels (Win 7) and the USB Port was set back to my Mac after the device restarted.
