worth buying LTE version still? fast now?

I bought this tablet last year and it was slow. Have updates resolved it to the point where it is fast? (Or custom rom)?

I didn't keep it. It was too slow, curious if it still is.

Can anyone comment on the increased usability and speed since release?

I wasn't aware of any issues when I bought mine, and haven't had any. I have a Verizon 10.1(2014), about six months old maybe(?). I have never had a problem with the LTE speed. I stream Netflix, TiVo, and HBO-GO all the time; no stalling, streams perfect. That's my measuring stick for speed & stability on any device... can I stream without issues. Yes.

What problems were others having?
