This ruling only applies to the older model 10.1 Tab, it does not apply to any other of the
Samsung product lines. It also allows dealers to continue to sell that model until they are sold out and then they may not sell it anymore.

This ruling mirrors that of the same ruling made in overseas markets and Samsung has already made changes in current models that skirts this issue. I think this ruling is of very little significance in terms of market or sales.

Two courts have now ruled against Samsung on this issue and since Samsung has eliminated the problem from their product I don't see much fallout from the ruling.

The old 10.1 Galaxy Tab is banned in the USA, but the new one is cheaper and has better specs and a more recent Android version (ICS vs. HC)... So now there's no way one would make the mistake of buying the old instead of the new better one!

    Well played, Apple!
