Nexus 7 or Note 10.1?
So guys what do you think? I have had 5 Nexus 7's... All with horrible screen separation. My first 2 were from a local retailer here in Australia and the other 3 have been from the play store. I am ready to give up. Should I go for the Note 10.1? I figure I can always get a Nexus 7 a bit later on, when they sort out the manufacturing issues. It's only $300 after all!

Nexus 7, and the Note 10.1 have two separate use cases so they really are vastly two different devices. If you only need/require a tablet for media consumption (movies, e-books, email, and etc.) I suggest the Nexus 7. However, if you need a note taking device for school, work, or other graphic artist type creation in an electronic format, on a device that happens to be an Android tablet as well, then the Note 10.1 is the best option.
IMO, identify what your need and requirements are and then get the device that meets those needs.

Nexus 7 is a basic tablet.
The Note has much more features, you can consume content but you can also create stuff.

It's lightning fast isn't it. The demo was next to the Galaxy tab 2 and the lag is non existent on the note. Really happy. Front facing speakers are great too. The build quality is great. Aesthetically it is the nicest tablet I have seen. Couldn't be happier!

I agree, I for the most part, with many of the posts thus far. Nexus may have the more pure Android experience, but TouchWiz, for me, makes the user experience more enjoyable. There is so much more to it than just note-taking and graphic art capabilities. It has many of the same features of the GS3 such as Smart Stay. It has video pop out so that you have keeping watching a video while doing something else. The S Pen is more than a stylus in that it can be used for more precise navigation on websites. The multi-tasking capabilities with being able to use split screen mode as well as being to launch something as simple as S Planner, the calculator or Task Manager simultaneously is a great advantage. The screen size is great for consuming and viewing content. The Peel app is awesome being able to use it as a remote for your television and DVR or gaming consoles. I have only had mine since Thursday so I am still learning what the Note 10.1 can do but I am certain that it's capabilities will only get better with Jelly Bean. At the end of the day, it is all about personal preference in terms of the more pure Android experience of the Nexus or the Note 10.1 with the TouchWiz skin on top of the OS.

Re: Nexus 7 or Note 10.1?
I have them both. The N7 is fulfilling my need to tweak and try roms and what not. It's great for gaming and reading. And let us all be honest.. the 7" form factor is perfect.
I'm also getting ready for my Navy advancement exam and all of our manuals and guides are in PDF format so the N 10.1 is perfect for studying and everything else for that matter. I haven't felt the need to root it or try roms or anything. It's just a very nice tablet.
