Default email account

My primary email is my gmail account but I also have a hotmail one I use. I added the hotmail account through the email app but the problem is it won't let me deselect the box that the hotmail account is not the primary account that email uses to send emails. Anyone know how to fix this? I want my gmail to be the default account

Pretty sure that the reason you can't uncheck the box is because you only have one account in the email app. If you add other accounts to the email app, you'll then be able to select one of them as primary (and change your choice later if you want).
