i would get the Note 10.1 if you are going too be doing a lot of note takeing

It will be note taking with a keyboard because my handwriting is pretty bad

Battery life is great. No need to worry there. I have pretty bad handwriting yet the handwriting recognition to text is pretty accurate. Also because the spen is quite accurate even poor handwriting can be legible. Between S-Notes and Lecture Notes note taking is really easy. Also, having true multiwindow support while note taking (keyboard or handwritten) is incredibly useful. Check out some videos on YouTube of the multiwindow support. It definitely sets this tablet apart from the rest.

As Flippedout says , battery life is great. I also agree that the Multiwindow is a MUST if you are taking notes.
