    Default Samsung galaxy note 10.1 (2013) charging issue

    Hi all
    I've used my galaxy note for over a year now with no issues what so ever. This changed about a week ago. The battery first started draining quicker then normal. Then when battery was dead one day I put in the charger and it charged about one percent every 20 minutes now however it's not charging at all. After being on charge for hours and tried turn the device on it goes into the boot screen but then shuts down again. I have tried a different wall charger but not a new cable. Please if anyone has had this issue or has found a solution please leave a comment please!!

    Welcome to Android Central! The battery might be failing. If a replacement cable/charger doesn't help, you may have to look into replacing the battery, either at a cellphone repair shop, or by yourself if you're adventurous.

    Hi b . Diddy thanks for replying seems pretty simple to replace the battery. I'll try the other options first thanks!

    I know this is late in the reply but I just experienced this problem, Cleared the cache, changed wall outlets, etc.
    I then blew on the contacts and the Tablet end of the USB cable. Nada. I then blew on the Charger and the charger end contacts and it started to charge very quickly. I'm thinking either the charger is going, or it didn't have a good contact. After a bit, I felt my charger getting warm which was a good indicator it is sending current. Checked my tablet and it is currently half way instead of way back cycling the battery icon.

    Bless you! My tablet was not charging and I was thinking the worst. Unplugged my usb cord from the wall charger piece, plugged it into my phones wall charger and voila, it's charged. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

    from the start when i bought my tablet it takes 2 days to charge it up now i have taken it back to where i bought it from they send it away twice and told me its fine then another time i told them that if it charges 2 to 3 days and nights what the real problem with it now today the 3/10/2015 i have had it on charge since 30/9/2015 it has only reach the half way make ....i feel like thrown the tablet at the wall im just so sick of the way of waiting for days on end to not be able to use the stupid thing now im just saying to you im not happy this machine is **** im never going to get anyother Samsung product i had always thought that your company was one of the best not to me it just that you like to take the money from us but you really dont like to help us out thankz for nothg im now going to buy another one but NOT THE **** YOU HAVE OUT THERE SORRY FOR MY MANNERS BUT IM SO ANGRY WITH THEY WAY YOU DO BUSINESS AND GOOD BYE
    4 DAYS AND STILL NOT CHARGES OMG !!!!!!

    I purchased my Note 10.1 in 2013 just before the 2014 version was released. I have not had ANY problems with it until about 2 weeks ago. Then I experienced without exception the exact same issues you have described and I went thru three same steps you did. I found possible solutions on You Tube but seems dicey and with no guaranty the problem wound be resolved. In addition the videos seem to be geared towards someone with experience repairing tablets/p.c. and not for the average John/Jan T. Public. Samsung.com solution is send it to them for repair at $69.95+$19.95 shipping. I don't want to give up my Note 10.1 But unless someone in this forum can give me a viable solution I will have to change since this seems to be a pervasive issue with other owners.
