Major BS on Samsung repairs

My tablet died last November - only 2 months old. Went to sleep with a 64% charge and that was that.
Repair claimed it was a bad connector and the unit simply wasn't charged.
BS - I have a charging monitor and it showed a current being drawn - the damn thing was locked up.
Got it back - last week same story. 94% charge busy using S-Note and camera documenting install issues with upgrading software in a busy clinic.
Set if down for 5 minutes - no boot. Hard reset nothing worked.
Sent it in again.
Same tired BS story about not charged and they even put on the parts list the wall charger, the AC adapter and the cable.
Now here's the thing - I know it will work when I get it back, but what are they lying about? Something is going tits up and it ain't the charger since I have another at work and they all show current being delivered. Anyone heard anything about GN 10.1's dying for no reason?
I called support and they claimed that on some units they needed to upgrade the internal sensor - according to him the unit will not power on if it "thinks" the voltage is too low.
