Problem with Dropbox on Samsung 10.1. videos showing as empty

Hello I hope someone can help me. I bought my Samsung Notebook 10.1 about 18-20 months ago. I installed Dropbox but just used the free space it gives you. It automatically uploaded lots of my precious videos which I could watch using the purple coloured 'video' application. However, a few days ago, it is showing that these videos have a duration of 00:00. So there is nothing to watch once when I touch the icon for a video except a blank screen and a white circle whirling around - major panic! I don't easily hv access to a pc to back up stuff and am not as tecchie as I'd like to be.
I emailed Dropbox support but have not heard back. Any ideas please?
