Failed to update firmware due to network or server problem, how can I fix this?

"Failed to update firmware due to network or server problem"

On my Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 when I try to update my software, "Failed to update firmware due to network or server problem" comes up.
Is it because it's too old to be updated or something like that?
- I bought it in end-2012 and I don't think I've updated it ever since.
- Currently at Android Version 3.2
- Model no: GT-P7500
- FCC ID: A3LGT-P7500
- Also, it's currently only using Wi-Fi as there is no service.

I have the same problem and the very same question. Every time I try to update some applications, it comes with "NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CURRENT SYSTEM VERSION". and I`m not being able to update the current system version and the error received is "Unable to update firmware due to network or server problem. Try software update later or using PC software (Kies). Can someone help please?
