Because tmobiles 4g is hsdpa and hsdpa+. They do not have LTE yet.
These are their 4g networks and your rom is just being more accurate.

4g is typicaly reserved for LTE. It is faster than hsdpa and hsdpa+. Have you ever noticed tmo commercials say just 4g and never LTE like verizon and att commercials.

This version makes a realy great prepaid phone.

Now why dosent tmobile make users more aware of this?

LTE when on 10+10 MHz and 2x2 MIMO is faster than DC-HSPA+, but it isn't the case that all LTE is faster. LTE on 1.4 MHz SISO is quite a bit slower than DC-HSPA, or even regular HSPA.

"4G" should really only refer to LTE-Advanced on at least 60 MHz and 8x8 MIMO, something still several years in the future.

Re: Why dose my new rom say h and h+ instead of 4g?

Thanks for that knowlege, I posted this for everyone cuz I got a guy on a custum rom and becausr his status bar said h and h+ instead of 4g he thought their was a problem.

So I wanted people to be aware that this isint an issue, but an oversight in the stock rom.
