SD Card auto ejecting and preparing

The other day my Note2 dropped battery level from 100% to 57% without me hardly using it.

It seems to be an issue with the SD card.

The SD card is randomly being ejected and the remounted and prepared on its own.

I've tried reformatting the card on my phone and reloading the content. Tried removing the card, reinstalling it. Restarting the phone as well.

It's not happening a ton now but I've seen it at least a few times a day.

Unfortunately I don't have the answers but to get the dialog rolling with someonw who hopefully will...

What are the card specs (SDHC SDXC etc.)?

What format type (Fat32, exFAT etc.)?

Specs are as follows:

SanDisk, 32GB, HC, Class 4.

Formatted on the phone.

In the meantime I picked up a Samsung SD card to see if that has any effect.

Bump... Does Android 4.1+ and/or the GN2 favor/require a certain format (such as exFAT)?
