Over the last week I have been having on and off issues with text messages.
I would get messages and then miss a few with the same person I'm going back and forth with.
It's happened on 4 different days and in 3 different locations.
Originally I thought it was a glitch but now I'm wondering if it's my phone.

Anyone else have this issue?
Should I try restoring back to factory settings or just take it back for a new one?

BTW, my phone has never been dropped.

Who is your carrier?

At least twice my husband's Note II hasn't received a text that I forwarded to him from my Note II. Neither of us can send or receive pics in text messages. I (perhaps wrongly) assumed that these issues were caused by AT&T; however, our son who lives in a nearby town & uses an AT&T Note II has neither of these probs.

I hope a texting specialist or an AT&T technician is active in our Note II forums and will diagnose/explain how to remedy our imperfect texting situations . . .

I'm with AT&T.
In my case, I have only experienced issues with regular text messages from my wife who is using an iPhone 4S.
Gonna talk to a AT&T and see what they say.

iMessage was having a lot of problem in the last week. My whole family has iMessage except me. It would sometime try to send iMessage to me even though I am not on iPhone anymore. And when iMessage is having problem, it won't even send out regular SMS to my phone. My family said it is a punishment for betraying the "Blue" SMS.

I didn't think about that but it could be the issue.
This issue has happened only with my wife's iPhone so this sounds plausable.
I will have the wife turn off iMessage on her iPhone and see if that happens anymore.

Will report back in after I find out if this solves it.

If that fixed it, you will have to call Apple and have them remove your phone number as associated with an iDevice. When I was having problem getting SMS from other iPhones, my sister thought she could be smart and SMS to my email address. That DIDN'T work either! iPhone was too smart and decided my email address is associated to my wife's iPhone iTunes account. So instead of sending the SMS to my email, it just sends to my wife's iPhone's message! Once Apple got hold of you, it would not let go.
