Right so I upgraded my phone from a Sony Ericsson x10i with 750 mb of data to a Samsung galaxy note 2 with 1gb of data. I never went over my data plan with my old phone but some how managed to use over 1gb in less than a week? I've removed Facebook for android as it had used 1.54GB of data. I've removed my picsa account and dropbox account and only update over wi-fi. Are there any tips on how to keep my data low. Please help!

I have been using Facebook for over 3 weeks and it only used up 18Mb of data. I think you must have tons and tons of pictures and videos on Facebook. And when you first sync your Facebook account, you were not on WiFi... so it pulls all the pictures and videos thru wireless data!

I have like 2000+ pictures on there. When I use facebook through the mobile Internet it barely touches my data. I've turned sync off on all my accounts but its still really high.

Whenever i upgrade a phone and I log in for the first time, it starts to pull all of my apps from the app store and installs them. it then also updates them.
it is alot of data the first couple of days, but once it is done...it is done..no worries after that.
