Why does it vibrate every time I pick it up??

You probably have it set to vibrate when you pick it up every time you have a notification. It's an immediate reminder that you have a notification waiting for you.

I personally have never had mine set to do that and I actually don't know where in the settings that option is, i just remember that being one of the Touchwiz features listed somewhere.

ive no idea where that setting is. i just looked thru Settings. any idea?

any chance it is Motion>Smart alert?

EDIT: I think that was the fix. I've picked up the phone a couple of times and no vibration after deselecting the above option.

When I figured this out I thought it was the most amazing feature ever. Still think it is actually. Pure genious!! It's one of those features that you can show off that actually has true everyday functionality (unlike other gimicky features that are included)
