Default Was I wrong for posting this?

So im a fan of no particular product so when pictures of the BB z10 surface I posted this on CrackBerry. Do you guys think im wrong for telling the truth?

    Hey folks,

Im not trying start any flaming wars here just want to offer my opinion about the new BB Z10. I am no fan of any one platform as I have tried BB devices before (Playbook), however my preference right now is Android (Galaxy Note 2) while just waiting on something breathtaking from BB or Microsoft to move me in another direction. I tried the Playbook twice and loved it but functionality was so limited I couldn't come to terms to spend even 99 bucks for it. Also, I loved Webos operating system, however, the product was lackluster in comparison to other phones. With that said I see this new BB phone as a product that will be DOA. It seems as if Black Berry as a company is still targeting Apple as its competition when clearly Apple has lost its mojo. Apple lost its mojo because it has failed to understand the market as well by bringing incremental changes to it's products like the non-ground breaking 4 inch screen on the Iphone 5. BB needs to be focused on whats making Android and it's manufacturers successful such as larger screens with high resolution as it is clear that the market wants this. Palm did the same thing Rim is trying now and that was to mirror the Iphone in what were slightly better specs in screen size, camera pixels, screen resolution, etc. and they failed miserably. In order to move the masses to want to purchase your product you have to attack your competitor like Samsung does and make the later option seem stupid to the consumer. I am afraid that RIM has not done this. I am afraid that RIM has developed something thats only comparable to mid level Android phones and the Iphone 5. We all know that when you have something new and just comparable to the next product the "known" product always wins regardless if its better or not. Samsung should have taught many CEO's a lesson, which is, if you want to knock out your most popular alternative you must make the masses view your product as bigger and better visually and verbally in every way. Remember perception is way more important that usability in a launch product. The BB z10 should at least have a 4.7 inch screen, 10 MP camera and a screen resolution of 1080p. If not, it's DOA!!! Don't believe me just watch!!

Not wrong at all. I personally believe bb is doa as it is because lack of supported applications. Right now iOS and Android have everything, RIM and the bb store or whatever it's called have basically nothing in comparison. As far as specs go, make something breathtaking and ground breaking... most of the population in the market look at how the phone looks and the basic features... battery life, how many MP the camera is, possibly processor. Or if you're my parents... can I make a phone call on it or listen to Pandora while taking my evening stroll?

Just think of how all the tech reviews will review this product. Remember that anything not Apple nowadays with less than a 4.5 inch screen is lackluster. Furthermore, anything with less than 1080p resolution that isn't Apple if it is released next month is "dated" compared to most tech sites. I trully wanted to see what RIM had to offer, but once again they #fail!!

RIM made a list of 10 worst companies on Yahoo. Doesn't surprise me though since their technology is so far behind. Sure, some people still like them but their really no longer a smartphone manufacturer. BlackBerry almost feels like the next generation of dumb phones to be honest.

    WOW...let the RIM bashing begin!
Coming from a BB user of over 7yrs, it is by far, much better than what all of you have posted.
I only switched to the Note II (personal device) recently as I was running out of patience waiting on BB10...however I still have a work issued BB and a playbook, that I use in tandem day to day.
Do you really need a choice of over a million apps? I personally don't believe so...as long as there are "enough" to further enhance the user experience; then that is more than sufficient.
Each ecosystem has their pros and cons and at the end of the day, one can only make real comparisons when having sufficient time to "test" each one out.
One thing that I can state as a fact, is that BB's "native" push email outperforms the competition (tested with BB and my Note II)

BB is good as a company phone, imo, but that's it.

I'm a power user and love new features and the ability to do EVERYTHING on my device.

My opinion (and you know what they about about opinions) is that it's too early to say. Let's wait till it's been out for a few months and BB10 apps are rolling out. Even BB5 had some features I miss on my Note 2, programmable side keys being the biggest.
As was said, a store with a million apps doesn't mean much, nobody is going to use even 1 percent of them. If they get a few hundred of the top apps they'll be in good shape.

First I'd like to say I respect everyone's stated opinions here but I have to disagree with SumthinNew as far as quantity of apps. Here's my $.02.

It's all perception. While none of us NEED a million apps to make us happy, the fact is that people perceive the need for that many apps. Why? Well blame it on the iPhone fad and all the marketing apple did telling everyone they NEEDED all those apps available to them.

This is why RIM jumped on the android bandwagon and has been pushing developers to port their android apps to BB (Android developers invited to take part in 'BlackBerry 10 Last Chance Port-a-thon' this weekend | Android Central) by offering $$$. Then they have a much larger app base to wag in consumer's faces.

Don't get me wrong I've had a few Blackberry's in my day. It was great a few years ago, but they lost their edge on innovation and were lost in the dust as they got VERY quickly left behind, just like webos and windows phones did.

Worst product I personally have ever used for an extended time (over a year) was my Storm 2. Gawd, I HATED that phone!! Switched to a bionic which was better but not nearly the nice experience that I get with the Note 2. At least my cell phone experience is going in the proper direction. LOL!

The storm 2 has been touted by BB fans as a flop. Your opinion of it does not surprise me in the least. I used my S2 for about 3 months.
