Yes. The anti virus protects your phone from harmful viruses, malware, spyware and text messages. AVG would be ideal.

Same as task killers. I wouldn't bother tbh. Unless, of course, you install dodgy .apk's.

I've been using Lookout on my phone.
About 5 years ago People were have the same argument about antiviruses for the computer. At the time I didn't think needed antivirus programs and and then I got nasty Trojan .
