How's this for battery life? Better than I've had with any phone tbh..

Wow! How much are you getting now?

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Android Central Forums

Nowhere near as much. About a day, but it doesn't seem to matter if it is 3 hours screen on time or 6 hours. It drains when idle unfortunately.

I have the LTE model though, which I think drains faster in general. Also, I have strong reason to believe that leaving wifi on also drains the battery. Inexplicably, and unlike any phone I've ever had, it actually saves battery to switch to 3G instead of wifi when the screen is off.

Methinks someone has made a mess of the 4.1.2 updates so far.

Is there any point in resetting to factory settings? Have you tried to see if it makes a difference?

Yeah I've done that a few times and tried diff roms. Im also rooted and have removed a lot of bloatware and also made mant tweaks and eliminmated all the top wakelocks.

Currently running the latest 4.1.2 firmware.

Not too sure why it drains like this. Perhaps its because my signal isnt great and usually around the 85-90 dBm mark..

Am home now and this is where the battery is at now. Just some basic usage this afternoon.

Any comments on the battery's performance?

Hmmm

To be honest these times are not great. Especially since you're not even using an LTE Note II. Like I said, I used to get close to 10 hours screen on time and a day out of it until the 4.1.2 update. And this was on LT, although I don't have a 4G sim.

I'm hoping the 4.2.2 update will bring back the battery life most people were experiencing on 4.1.1. Have you checked for wakelocks with betterbatterystats?

How do I go back to 4.1.1? Can I do a hard reset?

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Android Central Forums

You need to be rooted and flash a 4.1.1 rom. I wouldn't advise it tho given the SDS vulnerabilities and it's also missing features such as text reflow in the browser.

Right lol I won't bother then :) the battery life as it is, is good enough for me anyway. Coming from iPhone 4s which I had to charge 3 times a day...

Now I charge once a day :)

I think I've found the culprit. I left phone on with wifi on overnight and Facebook is trying to do something.

I had notifications on in the app but they never work, as in I never get any notifications in the status bar.

So now I've turned them off and battery seems to drain slower when idle.
