I am trying to move pictures to the SD card. Everytime I try to move I get a error message.

I try different ways.
I tried the Send to sd card application.
And I try to move the pictures. And the sd card file name is greyed out/not press able. Is my sdc card locked?

Why am I getting a error Message?
Please help
Running low on phone space

I moved my pictures to the sd card with the stock "files" app. Also, in camera settings there is a option to send them right to sd card when you take them.

Note 2, it's true, ,size is everything!

Thanks for the reply.
I tryed also with the my file also.
says "cant move file".
In the csmera app. If I set it to sd. The picture apps get saved to the sd card.
But can't move them from internal to sd card.
Is there any setting that could be set wrong?

Take out your SD card and make sure that little write protect switch isn't set to on.

Thanks

Check the pictures out.

Is "Protect SD Card" checked in the Developer Options settings? That's the only thing I can think of. Also, you're talking about a Micro-SD right? Synycalwon's comment had me do a double take.

Do you know what the micro sd card is formated as?

No. How do you check?
What should it be formated to?
That might be the problem.

When I got the card. I put it straight in the phone.

How do you format? On a pc. How?

Thanks for your help

I have the same issue but only on ones that I placed into a folder. Im not low on space so I havent worried about it to much. My camera is set to store all pictures to the SD card and that works fine, however when I create a new folder the pictures that I put in there are locked to the phone for some reason.

You should format it in your phone before you use it. Go to Settings, Storage, and Format SD Card. Have you done this yet?

Sorry about that; complete brain fart on my part. I was working with a regular size SD card for a camera recently (which has the write protect switch) and immediately thought the same with a microSD (which typically doesn't have the switch). :-[
