How to calibrate the barometer?

What is the right way to calibrate the N2's barometer? I've tried a couple of different barometer apps, and they all provide different readings and either no calibration or different calibration options and terminology. Is there some way to just plain calibrate it, like one can calibrate the compass?

I was wondering the same thing, I searched and found that it helps the accuracy of the gps on the z axis. I have not found a way to calibrate it but found it very interesting new feature to our phones.

tried it. read low. current barometric pressure here is 30.15 and the app reads 29.92. i converted my hg readings to millibars and entered that in the compensation field. now the app shows local baro pressure. interesting!

I entered the difference between the actual pressure and the read pressure into that box, and it corrected the read pressure, but I have a couple of concerns about that.

First, it didn't fix the altitude reading - for that I need to know the pressure at sea level, and I can't find that anywhere.

Second, it didn't seem to affect the other barometer app I've got, which makes me wonder whether it actually calibrated the barometer or just tweaked the readings in this specific app.

This is so cool. I downloaded the app and checked the barometric pressure on my weather bug app and then took a reading with barometer hd and it's dead on.

Note 2, it's true, ,size is everything!

Weather bug reading is lower right.

Mine is off by .1inHG if I do it that way... No point to compassion because I don't know if weather bug is wrong.

Ok I just check with the weather channel on TV and still nearly perfect. Don't think this needs to be calibrated.
