Just wondering what most of you are using multi Window for? I know that you can run two apps at once etc but still haven't found a real use for it. Everyone appears to love it, but wondering what I'm missing that makes it a big deal etc.

It's a nice option but I never use it. I tried using it a minute ago to compare a document and use the calculator at the same time. It didn't really work for me but it is a functional option for other uses.

LOL! well, it "one-ups" the competition, but honestly I don't use it. I'm sure there are some folks that find it useful--just like we all have our own favorite apps--apps that others have no use for.

It COULD be useful if you could run any app in multi-window mode (I think there's a hack for that, if you're rooted). But at least officially, the allowed apps list is pretty scarce and quite useless except for maybe browsing the Net while getting your social addictions fulfilled at the same time.

Now, add messaging services like Whatsapp and let me chat away while browsing or reviewing documents, and then it's more useful (to me, at least).

I use it (and pop-out video) every day. I put a video in the top window, and a game or an RSS/Reddit reader in the bottom. The Note screen is so large, that a video in the top of the screen is almost as big as it was on my (now abandoned) iPhone 4s. Its like playing with two devices at the same time.

I have found it only works with games that have distinct moves (Chess, Triple Town, Solitaire) so that you can stop playing if you need to stop playing the game and concentrate on the video.

Like others have said, it's a cool feature that I haven't really found use for yet. But I'm glad it's there.

If you do any kind of research online then it is very handy. Example you are writing an article or studying a subject for your website / review / prior to purchase (which I do often) and want to compare your finding with others. Then you search the web, make notes as you find info about what you find and can even grab pictures and videos to include. The problem is that like others have said there are not enough apps to take advantage of it. I fear that there never will be either because there are just not enough people that need the features since tablets and phones are made more with consumption of information than as working devices.

Yeah, I agree with some of the previous posts regarding the limited apps available for this function. I'd use it regularly if I could include any app I wanted in it! Actually, this is the main reason I'm considering rooting my phone.

I disabled it the 2nd day. Just a gimmick feature. It gets in the way a lot more than anything else. That's just my opinion...

I use it whenever I'm watching an NBA game and feel like trash-talking my friends at the same time.

Or I'll use it if I'm drawing a picture and I need to use another picture as my guide for reference.

..... The AC app doesn't appear to be compatible (ironic?) .... I might use it if I could surf AC and be doing something else. Oh well. I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

If you have the modded multi window where you can use any app you want in it, then it can be pretty cool and has its uses.

I can't think of a single reason why anyone WOULDN'T want it as an available feature. It hurts absolutely nothing to have it enabled, doesn't slow the phone down or use up a ton of memory. And how does it get in the way? You have to long hold back for the tab to even appear, and even after you setup your windows all you have to do is rehold back to get rid of the pull out tab and boom now you have 2 apps open at once. How could anyone fault it, really?

Multi window control is really the best implementation for root users. Sometimes I play ruzzle and words with friends at the same time just to **** my wife off on her 4s. Other than this though I really don't use it in the day to day.

I've got one, pretty regular, use for the multi-window function. I'm running the modded version of multi-window, and I pull up S-Note for meeting notes (actually handwriting) and pull up Team Viewer to remote into my work desktop simultaneously. I'll adjust the size to make S-Note a little easier to right on, but I can easily slide divider and have an already connected remote window available to reference anything I might need.

Otherwise, I do find it to be a novelty, for the most part. There are a few other instances where it comes in handy, but they're few and far between.
