Dear god, watching her hit that phone with concrete made me cringe... Plus for it being clear and not matte. I would buy.

I have a 5 yo watch with a sapphire crystal and I have to say it has taken a beating, I'm clumsy, and though the case is rather scratched the crystal is like brand new. No scratches at all. Let's do this for phones!!!

If this became available to purchase I would purchase it in a hear beat. Clear as day. Strong as hell. What more can you ask for?

Only question is, in terms of the Note 2, how well does it work with the S Pen. :P

I think we're talking about phone manufacturers possibly using this on higher end devices instead of Gorilla Glass. The screen protector variant shown on the video is a demonstration and this will probably not be released as a protector. We won't need a screen protector and that's the beauty of it all.

I understand it could be used in the screen manufacturing process, but considering she had a variant it's also possible that it could be sold as a protector.

I mean, if it adds to the price of the phone I'm sure a lot of people won't be happy. So I could see a protector in that case, but if it's cheap than I'm sure they'd include it as the screen itself.

Right now, it will probably add to the price of the phone. I don't think that artificial sapphire production is at the level it needs to be to do this on the scale of Gorilla Glass, but I'm sure that we're getting close. The sapphire screen protector they demonstrated is evidence of that.

Though I suppose you could buy an Android phone with a sapphire screen right now, if you really wanted to.
Represent yourself well; you never know what might happen. And try out the new Android Central app!
