TomTom Navigation
Just a heads up, all the TomTom applications are on sale. It's a decent amount off the full price depending on the application. For example the US & Canada applications is 39% off, which is a savings of $26.
Figured I would post this here as it works well with the Note 2 as TomTom has the display updated for the large screen. Not to mention TomTom is a top GPS developer so the maps are great.
While we do have free navigation with Google Maps and Google Navigation, some people need offline maps so it's nice to have an application like TomTom. Whether traveling outside of the country and have no data or just driving through rural areas with bad or no reception it's nice to have offline navigation.
Just a note, for anyone thinking of purchasing, make sure it's what you want. You really won't be able to test the application like other applications because it'll take more than 15m to download the required files. For the US & Canada version, it has to download 2 GB+ of data before you can even use the application so you don't have a chance to refund. - 03-09-2013, 07:24 AM #2

Re: TomTom Navigation
Yeah, I trialed Sygic. It's really nice as well, and it uses TomTom maps so you it's high quality. I was impressed with it, but I had a few small annoyances with it. Nothing major and since I wasn't in immediate need of offline maps I waited for the first sale. Sygic is a lot cheaper as is, but I still like waiting for sales. Since waiting TomTom was the first to hit a sale.
Looking at the market, I'm shocked the other GPS solutions aren't going on sale. Seems like it would be wise to match sales as I'm sure TomTom is profiting from this sale. - 03-09-2013, 01:17 PM #6
