Changing the Notifications Bar?
My mom just got the Note 2, and I'm trying to "dumb it down" for her (there's so much going on that it's just sensory overload). For starters, I'd like to trim down the toggles in the notifications bar--she only needs the basics, she doesn't need bluetooth/allcast/powersaving/airplane mode/etc. Is there any way to remove select toggles?

Re: Changing the Notifications Bar?
Settings >> Display >> Notification panel
That will allow you to configure the notification panel and remove unwanted toggles (and add a few extra).

Very interesting, on my S3 there is no "Notification Panel" as available for changing

Re: Changing the Notifications Bar?
As S T Hye has shown, it is available on the Note 2,but from the looks of things this may vary from carrier to carrier.
No idea why a carrier would remove this feature. :/

Agreed. Im also on att and don't have the option to do that.:(
Re: Changing the Notifications Bar?
For those who have that option, what carrier are you using? I'm on Verizon and unfortunately don't have those options :(. How ungodly annoying on their part, why limit customization?
Re: Changing the Notifications Bar?
Wonder if it's all US carriers? I'm on Rogers in Canada and they haven't removed it at all.
As for alternatives, I believe the only alternative at this point would be root and install a custom ROM. CleanROM would give you access to this setting, but it's a lot just for one setting.
Re: Changing the Notifications Bar?
I'm on Sprint and I have the option
Re: Changing the Notifications Bar?
The feature to add/remove these toggles, came when JB 4.1.2 was pushed to the Note II.
It still may be carrier dependent on whether they all wanted this feature to be available.
I'm with Rogers and fortunate to get this feature, since the latest OS was pushed out.
Re: Changing the Notifications Bar?
I am on T-Mobile JB 4.1.1 and do not have this feature. Wish I did.
Re: Changing the Notifications Bar?
As S T Hye has shown: the graphic shown is not available on US Cellular phone and/or US versions of the sgs3. :(
Re: Changing the Notifications Bar?
Verizon 4.1.2 has it.

Re: Changing the Notifications Bar?
Just got it on Verizon with update. Is there any way to add WiFi to the list?

Would going into system settings > home screen mode > easy mode, help with some of the sensory overload?
