    Hi,
I'm trying to replace Clockworkmod recovery with TWRP on my Galaxy Note2. I just don't know how to. I'm currently running Paranoid Android 3+ ROM. Because of it's camera limitations and poor system and sound volume (I don't know if it's with android or the ROM), I've decided to try Android Revolution HD (which I learnt is better). But Android Revolution HD uses its own inbuilt AROMA installer which doesn't seem to work with Clockworkmod. So someone should kindly help know how to replace it with TWRP. Thank you all!!!

Download Goo Manager from the Play Store. It will allow you flash TWRP recovery to your device, replacing CWM.

Okay thanks, Goo Manager comes pre installed with my Paranoid Android ROM, but I just don't know how to use it. Is is something straight forward or there's a process to go about replacing CWM with TWRP. Thanks.

Should be an option under Settings in Goo Manager to " Install OpenRecoveryScript" which installs the latest TWRP supported for your device.

Not sure if this has been updated but as of the last time I used TWRP, know that CWM nandroids cannot be recovered using TWRP and vice a versa. So if you plan to use TWRP henceforth, immediately create a new TWRPO nandroid just for security. Just a good tip to pass around.

    Hi all,
I tried to follow you instruction but there's a problem with Goomanager servers.
Is there another way to completely replace CWM with TWRP?
Is TWRP so better than CWM? No one can explain me why they choose TWRP exceptly for the multiple flash (e.g. ROM + GApps + Kernel) in one step
    Thanks

You can go on xda and find a recovery thread. There are a few that are flashable through odin.

Yes it a sense it does.... Although ROM Manager ( FREE ) doesn't offer the full package. In order to enjoy the full goodness you have to go with the premium version. Not that its a bad thing supporting your developer like that but stacked up against Goo Manager you get all the goodness for F R E E .

Plus ROM Manager being designed and supported by the well known developer Koush is a bit well bias towards his own stuff like his well known CWM (ClockWorkMod custom recovery) and CM (Cyanogen ROM) works. So the app tends to lean a bit in his favor verses Goo Manager which is more neutral.

I've used them both, in the end for the last year or so I've been a full supporter of Goo Manager and TWRP custom recovery.

I have been searching for two days trying to find some help with switching from CWM to TWRP. I have been attempting to flash TWRP with Goo.im and it downloads and says it has been flashed correctly, but then when I reboot into recovery (both from the Goo.im app and a reboot with Vol up + Home button) it goes straight into CWM. I am at a loss for how to resolve this issue. I feel I am relatively informed on rooting and all the processes, but this is the first time I could not resolve an issue on my own. HELP PLEASE! I am actually using a Galaxy S3 from Verizon but I know all directions will be close to universal.

    Here's an easier way. .
Go on Play Store and download Goo Manager. After it installs open the app. Click Menu and find the option "Install Open Recovery Script" it'll flash TWRP.

The best way to remove it is to plug in the phone to the computer go to your phone look for your TWRP folder and delete...or Clockwork mod recovery...you can have them both installed and delete one or delete the recovery and install the other...You can install the recovery via odin while your phone is plugged to computer..put phone in download mode and install file via odin...

I'm currently using TWRP with CleanROM on my Verizon Note 2, but I would like to try out CM11. I've seen it suggested to use CWM with CM ROMs; can I use both TWRP and CWM recoveries concurrently or must I uninstall one to use the other?

TWRP Works perfectly with CM. The diference is that TWRP has a ui more user-friendly.
