Anyone els had this today!? Unfortunately it's bigger then 50mb so cannot download till I get into WiFi area. Could it be 4.2!?

I got that notification (UK, Orange) but dismissed by accident, now it won't let me check for updates and kies won't load on my PC :-\

It wasn't 4.2. Seems like a different build of 4.1.2. It was a substantially sized update. No idea of changes however.

Do you receive carrier updates in that manner, if you're using an unlocked international version? Not sure to be honest. If carrier, it was a fairly hefty sized download.

I just hit update software and it downloaded an 88mb update. I have attached what has changed (see the tick mark). Also it added a new app "play movies". Mine is unlocked international version note 2

I'm just trying to figure out if this update is being sent via samsung? AT & T? Sprint? Who?? I have Verizon and no update. Not real surprised.

could be a security update. i read a few weeks ago that samsung released a patch. since 4.2.2 isnt beling released(at least yet) for the note 2, maybe carriers are just putting out the security patch

Ahh as I suspected, it's a 4.1.2 incremental update - aka a new build. As mentioned, probably a security update to address those issues raised recently.

In answer to another's question, I'm 99.9% sure this is pushed out by Samsung for International Note II's, certainly at this point in time. Maybe others will follow.
