Hi, I downloaded an application called Gsam Battery Monitor and I noticed that the android system was waking up 1059 times. It the only thing that has a high usage. I'm new to this application and was wondering if that's normal to wake up that much? Any help would be appreciated.

That sounds normal. You should expect the system to be one of the biggest battery or CPU users. 1000 wakelocks is not unusual for the system. What's important is your overall battery usage--how is that?

Thanks. My battery life is pretty good. I can normally get 30 to 36 hrs. The most I've gotten was 40 hrs on a charge. I pretty much keep everything turned off.

That is nothing to complain about. The people that need gsam are those whose battery drains in like 3 hours or who can watch the percentage drop even while charging
